Terms of Service

By creating a CardHawk account or connecting your Stripe account to CardHawk (“the Service”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

CardHawk reads your active Stripe subscriptions and emails your customers a small number of pre-expiry reminders before their card on file becomes invalid. The Service requires read-only Stripe Connect access. We never charge cards, issue refunds, or move money on your behalf.

• You must be authorized to act on behalf of the Stripe account you connect.
• You are responsible for keeping your CardHawk login credentials secure.
• You agree to provide accurate sender information (your product name, support email, and unsubscribe address) for the emails we send on your behalf.
• You must comply with applicable email regulations including CAN-SPAM (US), CASL (Canada), and GDPR (EU).

You may not use the Service to:

• Send marketing or promotional content beyond the card-expiry notifications
• Email anyone who is not an active paying customer of yours
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service
• Use the Service to facilitate any illegal activity

The Free plan is permanently free up to 100 active subscriptions. Paid plans (Launch, Pro) bill monthly in advance and renew automatically. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis within 30 days of charge.

New paid accounts include a 14-day trial. We don't require a card to start. We'll email you 3 days before the trial ends.

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that abuse the Service, or that remain past due on payment for more than 14 days. On termination, we delete all of your data within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy).

The Service is provided “as-is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, delivery of every email to every inbox, or recovery of any specific revenue.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced 30 days in advance via email to account owners. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware.
